Good morning OCUk,

I have looked through the various bundles, barebones and components offered at OCUk but would like to get further recommendation from the community.

I am looking for a budget (I really mean budget) gaming build suitable for playing minor games in of course, the best resolution I can. The game I have just started playing again is World of Tanks and would like a computer that would be capable of playing this game on medium to high settings with a steady FPS.

I currently have an Acer Aspire X3900 which is useless for gaming and will cost around the same as buying a better PC to transfer to a new case, new PSU, new GFX card etc. As it is, even with compressed game textures to 3% I can still only manage 20-30FPS with massive FPS spikes and regular game freezing/crashing.

With your recommendation I would like to stress that it has to be capable of 1920x1080p resolutions (not necessarily in games but for general use and watching films).

Many thanks for any additional support you can give me, I am unsure of any specific budget as most of the funds would have to come fromt he sale of my current X3900.

LIANO BUILD

Gigabyte GA-A75M-UD2H AMD A75 (Socket FM1) DDR3 Micro ATX £69:38

AMD Llano A6-3670K 2.70GHz (Socket FM1) £90

OcUK Imp MicroATX Tower Case (500w PSU) £28:99

As this is a low power build you could save by using this psu saving another £35.

So including stulids hard/optical drive's and ram a rough cost including £12:50 postage is £314.

It wont be as powerfull as Stulids but should be enough for some light gaming at 1080p and will have a smaller foot print and its £100 cheaper.

Never skimp on the PSU, Golden rule#1:)

I completely agree with you Stulid :)

I was just trying to cut his down as much as possible as he has no budget and I dont think its going to be much either.
I guess the liano rig wont use more than 250 watts so he could use the cheap psu and upgrade when he upgrades the pc with a descreete grpahics card (if at all).

Problem is, if it breaks (which cheap ones are prone to) then if it damages anything else it soon becomes more expensive than getting a decent PSU in the first place!

I completely agree its the OP choice. I would recommend a better psu like the builder series than a cheap free one but it all depends upon the OP's budget as well.
