Budget Gaming Build

I have been planning to build myself a budget mini-itx gaming pc using the new Bitfenix Prodigy Case. All I'm looking to do is play games like Minecraft, Diablo III and Starcraft II on it.

These are the components I have so far: *** No competitor links or pricing ****

The only thing which niggles me slightly is the size of the Bitfenix Prodigy case. Are there any other cases/builds, perhaps slightly smaller which will let me play the games I want for a similar amount of money?

OK, will bear that in mind.

Do you know of any smaller cases which will be capable of housing this build? As I'm worried that compared to other Mini-ITX cases the Prodigy is a bit big for what I need.

sg05 or sg06, about the same money as the prodigy when you add in the PSU.

i would go for a 6850 over the 7770 if your gaming, far more bang for your bucks

It was actually at 7750 in the build not 7770. Do you still recommend the 6850 over it (I would guess so)?

Here's a build with a 6850 card and the SG06 (personally I think it looks nicer than the SGO5): *** No competitor links or pricing ****

2 Quick Questions: Firstly is the case big enough for the graphics card and secondly is a 300W PSU enough (that's what's bundled with the case)?

Thanks for your help!

Motherboard is micro atx you need mini itx for those cases, would also go for a single 4g stick of ram over two as mini itx mobo's only have two slots leaving you no upgrade option if in the future, no real cost difference either.

Also don't underestimate the shipping cost if you plan on buying from multiple vendors.

cheapest itx i know of for ivy, not sure on the pre 77 series

YOUR BASKET
1 x ASRock B75M-ITX Intel B75 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ITX Motherboard £71.99
Total : £81.89 (includes shipping : £8.25).

Whoops! Completely missed that. Changed that on the build config.

When it comes to RAM, do you mean just go with 4GB (1x 4GB) rather than 8GB (2x 4GB)?

Shipping wise I'm probably going to be OK.

First get rid of the competitor names, the mods rightly get miffed about that you can get away with inference's but outright is a tad naughty.

the 6850 will do just about all current games on high settings at 1080p with the notable exceptions of crysis 2 and the like

I apologise, I'm using this forum more as a general site for getting help with builds rather than looking for components solely on Overclockers website ** Mentioning of competitors is strictly prohibited - Please read FAQs regarding rules **These forums good as it's the only forum I've seen which is specific to the UK.

I don't think they mind you asking then buying it elsewhere, they just don't like you to rub it in.

Yes i meant 1x4gb as apposed to 2x2Gb, but if you can afford it go to 2x4Gb
