hi all can i have a little advice on a budget gaming card,, all i play is wow and a bit of cs source, at the mo i have a evga 460 gtx card which is ok, but i broke a fin on the fan and can not get a new fan from the uk, so it now sounds like a plane taking off ;(
anyway i have a chance of getting one of thesehttp://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-322-SP 3 months old for 120, but with no warranty so im a bit vary after reading some reviews on it
is there any good cards out there for 120 my budget which will see me good

thanks again in advance for any help given, and thanks to the people on my last post that gave me the advice on building a new pc, fast service from oc shop and everything working like a charm ;)

is your 460 out of warranty?

as you mentioned best card for your money is a 280(x) 2nd hand, but of course you'd want it to be in warranty
if new, then the 270 non-x is your best bet

thanks just looking now ;)

but if there are any decent nviada card out there for my price range i would love to hear please

There isn't a decent Nvidia card for £120. The only two in that range are the 660 and the 750ti which are A) more expensive than the AMD offering in that range and b) slower.

So it's get a 270, or do what was suggested and remove the existing fan and lash an 8/9.2cm case fan to the heatsink with cable ties (or shoelace).

I would try modding your own fan assembly with spare parts. If you do not have many spares or deem yourself not competent to do this then you could see a second hand third party solution cost for that card (they are pretty easy to install).

If the cost goes beyond £15 then you may as well treat yourself to a new card. You wont be able to check the MM but if there are no second hand bargains then the best budget card from e-tailers would be the R9 270 (as mentioned above).
