Budget Gaming Laptop

Morning All!

I’m looking for advice on a budget gaming laptop as I’m well and truly out of touch with hardware specs these days and never really knew much about laptops anyway...

I’ve a PC that I use most of the time so I’m after something cheap and cheerful for occasional use.

The game I play the most at the moment is Warframe which isn’t especially taxing specs wise. I have a HP 250 G1 that is years old and was bought for ‘word processing and internet browsing’ and that can barely cope with the game; it’s not a gaming machine after all!

I’m just after something a bit newer that I can have a dabble on (run a few alerts, relics, missions for those familiar with the game) when sat in front of the tv for an hour or so.

Any suggestions please?

Nothing set as such. I’d say £300 max, preferably lower

I'd say for that budget go second hand, you'd get much better performance, as long as you don't mind second hand

Good idea, thanks for the suggestion. Is there a good second hand shop online anywhere other than eBay do you know please? Never bought second hand!

Try Facebook market place or Shpock. Just be careful and any doubt's look for another seller.

Thanks I’ll have a look. I see things on Facebook marketplace and am never sure if it’s legit let alone working!

I would say 2nd hand as well check gumtree perhaps ....
BTW selling my Alienware 17 Ranger (last AW without soldered GPU) but it would be slightly out of your budget....on a side note shame that to access MM you need a lot more post than I will have in some years to come
