Hi All,

***EDIT*** I have a Samsung SSD already 500gb and Kingston 250gb SSD- Hence no inclusion below...

Been toying with this for a while now - very tight budget - would the following give me good FPS with good graphics ie not low or lowest eg Love playing PUBG - Call of Duty - Shadow/Tombraider etc?

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/amd-...hz-socket-am4-processor-retail-cp-3af-am.html £139.99 (at time of posting)
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/team...al-channel-kit-grey-tlgd416g24-my-088-tg.html £59.99
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/b-gr...ocket-am4-ddr4-atx-motherbaord-bg-588-gi.html B Grade! £70 as opposed to £89.99
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/search?ssearch=sapphire+radeon+rx+56 £259.99
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/b-gr...ss-midi-tower-case-black-white-bg-060-pt.html B Grade £42.95
https://www.overclockers.co.uk/kolink-core-series-700w-80-plus-certified-power-supply-ca-02q-kk.html £42.95

Total £615.87

Any help/Advice appreciated.

Many thanks

I realise your budget is tight but that PSU is garbage - you don't want to be pairing it with your new, precious components - although relatively modest in value are great bang for buck for performance!

I've upped the motherboard to the MSI M-ATX - better board but understand if you need to watch every £1.

Upped the quality of the PSU because it needed it - and the BitFenix 650W is the quality minimum for system such as yours - or you could consider the CoolerMaster at £65. But that Kolink will potentially lead you into problems straight away with the V56 or in the near future...

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £679.50 (includes shipping: £12.60)

Brilliant Plec, thank you for your straight talking advice -

I have 'my specs' loaded into the basket, but will change to the items you suggest -

To reel back some £1's I have changed the case...

Sadly the PSU and MB recommended are OOS - so gone for Corsair and kept MB as original.

Thank you for taking the time to look - it is appreciated -

Don't start thinking that you need a minimum of 650w 80 plus gold. While it is nice to have it not essential. You could even get away with a 500watt psu gold. As long as your not doing any heavy overclocks your never really gonna stress out PSU.

A 500w gold or a 600w bronze from a reputable PSU brand is recommended

I had Ryzen 2600 and Vega 64 both overclocked and running a 600w gold PSU. The only time it will start reaching that 600w is when stress test both CPU and GPU to 100% load which is what people do in real world tasks

Although true - for example the BitFenix 550W Gold doesn't come with two independent PCIe cables - and this is also the case with 'some' lesser quality/wattage PSU's - and, personally, i wouldn't recommend a running a V56 without 2 independent leads feeding the card. So @Clakkers, i would be mindful of this if selecting another PSU - look for two independent power leads - i.e. no daisy chaining (some will work, but some won't - hit and miss).

The card manufacturers cover themselves by recommending a 750W PSU - but what they're really trying to eliminate is the budget OEMs with poor delivery and lead quality/selection. (this is not what @Burnt_Custard was recommending, BTW).

Well said. I agree with checking other aspects mentioned like the PCI-E leads and other stuff like warrenty.

Thanks again Plec and now ofc Burnt Custard -

Appreciate the time for your posts - IO have a Corsair 750 in my current setup - so will cannibalise from one to another the better parts -

Just waiting on the delivery now :)

Thanks Again Both!

Sorry to those who posted up without reply, my apologies -

New system is up and running - and it is excellent -

Thanks to all for your input, Plec and burnt custard especially -

On ultra PUBG a steady 100 fps - so really pleased -

Regards
