right starting to build a new budget gaming rig.
so far i have acquired 2 x r9 270`s and GA-990FXA-UD3 mobo :D
gonna slap a amd fx8320 with that soon.
i have been offered Corsair Vengeance LP blue DDR3 4x4gb for 65 quid.
the question is,is 4 sticks gonna cause me problems? i do plan on overclocking too :D
cheers
grolly

Don't see why it should, that's an awesome deal on the RAM, snap it up
You may need to increase the IMC voltage a touch to ensure stability but that should be it, perhaps a small amount extra voltage to the sticks but I don't think that'll be needed

LOL that machine in sig was awesome LOL
i really should update my sig hmmm that was a few systems back :D
as for case not sure yet but i did like the look of the carbide spec 01 :D
also an update on that mobo as it`s just turned up,it`s revision 4.0 i`ll assume thats a good thing.
thanks for the advice on the memory guys :D
so far so good
mobo cost £55
2 x r9 270`s cost £130 for the pair
only prob now is i gotta wait for the pennies to build up to get cpu,psu ect.
was tempted by a 2nd hand corsair 750w gold psu at 45 quid but from what i`ve read corsair psu`s are about as reliable as my old hiper so yeah deffo gonna go with one of the superflowers with 5yr peace of mind LOL

The Corsair PSUs are confusing recently, different ranges using different OEMs. Some good, some bad.. there's a few PSU gurus on here who can no doubt shed some light on that particular model.

that was a few systems back

Heh, that would've been some leap in performance!

stuff them corsair psu`s and lets be honest going 2nd hand there could cost me more in the long run :(
my system now is getting long in the tooth, built some years ago for about 450 if i remember right.
amd phenom II x4 840 under a antec kuhlar aio, asus m4n68t-m-le-v2 mobo,2 x 4gb corsair vengance blue ddr1600 and a nvidia 460gtx all wrapped up in a coolermaster case with coolermaster 550w psu.
i gotta say though for an old budget rig it shocked me the other week.
i threw bf4 at it seeing as it was used in a lot benchmarks and it played smooth on high settings and 1080p :D
