Hey all

After many years away from Warcraft and years console gaming, I have been roped back into Wow and pc gaming more, especially now with the play anywhere that xbox is doing.

What are the chances i could get a PC good enough to do Warcraft on Ultra/HD and to play the games like Gears 4, Battlefield etc with decent graphics.

The build would need to include an OS, but not any other added bits, as Monitor etc will be purchased separate. Budget preferably between £600-£700, but if i got more bang for not much more then i would definitely consider spending a bit more.

Also how hard is it to knacker the build if you are not used to building your own pc.

Thanks

Hey there,

Take a look at this configuration, it does go over the budget you mentioned but only slightly and it would certainly be worth it. If you're not used to building systems then I would strongly suggest you get us to build the system for you, you get our warranty plus we test the system to make there's no issues before it's shipped.

Thanks for the reply.

Is it beneficial to get 16gb ram now to future proof for gaming or is there no need?, and id need to stick a wifi card in too.

How about sound, is it off the motherboard or do u need to stick a sound card in too?

I would suggest it yes if you can squeeze it in to your budget go for the 16gb, I've adjusted the system as well to include a network card plus the 16gb.

Sound will come off the motherboard which would be more than adequate as that's all I use in my gaming rig but personally I don't see a need for a dedicated sound card unless you need the better quality but that's completely up to you

As you mentioned WoW as the main reason for getting a new rig I'd recommend an Nvidia card as WoWs aging graphics engine prefers them. This would be building it yourself which is easy to do and pretty foolproof. Loads of YouTube vids showing you the process if you wanted to see whats involved :)

Over the prebuilt it the build below has a faster CPU, larger SSD and faster graphics card. You can also pick up Windows 10 keys for much cheaper (£20-30) if you have a search on google, which would bring it back to your £700 budget.
