Hello all!
Please help me out with a budget build for a gaming high settings on 1080p , game streaming and general productivity pc.
Budget is 1000-1200£ right now (also need a monitor). Dont have to spend it all as will be upgrading soon ...
I have some idea for the rig but feel free to suggest me another setup or plan of action if you think is better?
The plan is to buy the bare minimum first that would work, then upgrade it in a few months with, watercooling, better case, more ram and vega gpu (and better motherboard if i decide to buy a b350 now, i'm unsure on that point).
All i need from the motherboard is to be able to overclock the cpu to 3.7-3.8 on air? will the b350 be enough? Or i need the x370 prime?
I think i will be doing medium oc on stock cooler on b350 for now, then upgrade to hero 6 when i buy the watercooling... im getting a good psu and ram from the start ...
The build:
Ryzen 7 1700 £301 (stock cooler)
Asus prime b350 plus £91(or primex370 £150, or hero 6 £230)
16gb G.skill trident Z 2800mhz 15cl (8gbx2) £119
Asus rx 480 oc dual 8gb £204 (if i wait until april ill get a rx 580 but i sure cant wait until may for vega to build a pc ...)
Evga supernova g2 650w gold modular £77 (or could chep out with corsair vs650 £47 ... but dont think is worth it .. )
Cheap temporary case bitfenix nova £26 (could also do nzxt s340 £58).
An ssd/m.2 drive still to decide - around 120gb/ 240gb for £60/100 ... i dont have to buy it straight away i could also buy it later couple of weeks after i build the rig ...
I have plenty of standard 500gb/1TB hdds so storege is covered.
Not sure if I should post this in monitors section but I also need to buy a monitor for the setup (I have a secondary one so i could wait a bit, but is like super old and ugly not even 1080p lol)..
saw a cheap samsung ips 1080p 4ms with freesync £119 samsung s24f356 that looks ok ... is it good?
whats a good monitor 1080p 24/27" ideally with freesync and well below £200 (i dont want to spend too much as i think i would want to go 144hz and or 1440p when i upgrade to vega, might also consider buying a 1080p 144hz monitor straight away if theres a good option for cheap but i doubt it? .. please advise
