Intel Core 2 Duo E7500
ATi Radeon 4850 512MB
Corsair 4GB DDR2
500GB

Be used on a 20" monitor(1680x1050).

E7500 be overclocked. Just wondering if the above system would be "ok" for gaming.

The 4850 seems to beat the 5750 & 5770 a lot of time in reviews. If i get a year or so game play out of it at ok settings, i'd be happy.

What you guys think?

It will be fine, but unless youve already got the mobo Id recomend looking at AMD, youll be more likely to be able to upgrade it next year that way

Asus P5QL Pro ?

Im after a cheap gaming rig, and this looks a bargain. I honestly can't justify £900 on a system that comes with a 5770. So rather get a nice deal and play games at ok settings.

yes but do you already have the asus board? If so go for it, if not look at AMD, for the same sort of price you get an equivalent if not better system and it has more upgradability

No i don't already have it. I could get this instead, which looks abit better. What do you think...

AMD PHENOM II 955
4096MB Corsair DDR II
1000GB
ATI Radeon 5750
Asus deluxe

Around same price, checking out the 5750 the results are not great, but plays most of the games apart from Crysis at decent frame rate.

AM3 is the best choice over sk775.Its more future proof so that means that you'll be able to upgrade later on.I wouldn't worry about the performance of the HD5750.With the new drivers that come out in dec they say that the new HD5xxx series will have a good performance increase and you can also add another one later and go xfire. This way you'll have a good setup that will last you until december 2010.Also if its possible you could spend a couple more quid and get the HD5770.The HD5xxx series take less power than the hd48xx series and that means less heat and more headroom to overclock them.

DDR II is expensive atm; how does a DDR3 system compare price wise?

Two 500gb or less HDDs in RAID0 may be a good alternative for speed.
The 5750 will improve as the drivers mature but not sure how much. There should be some overclocking headroom on it which may be worth investigating.

Make sure the components can fit in the case you have before you buy :P, that would be a little depressing to get all of your components only to shell out for a new case because they dont fit :)

dont geta 5750 , get a 4870 imo . Dont think its worth getting a dx11 card unless its a 5850+

give a total budget plz and the parts required

Im going to go for AMD set up. Im not actually looking for each single part, more a custom built machine.

Obviously i can't link machine.

The 5750 will do for now, always add a 2nd one next year some time. Thanks for help.
