955BE is better for gaming than the hex versions, so you've saved some cash there.

If you already have the mobo, et all, then you could get this for £10 over budget:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Asus GeForce GTX 560Ti 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £174.98
1 x AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £99.98
1 x OCZ Special OPS 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3SOE1600LV4GK) £37.99
Total : £312.96 (includes shipping : FREE).

Or within budget, you could get this:

YOUR BASKET
1 x XFX ATI Radeon HD 5870 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card with FREE Stalker Call of Pripyat PC Game Voucher £159.98
1 x AMD Phenom II X4 Quad Core 955 Black Edition "125W Edition" 3.20GHz (Socket AM3) - Retail £99.98
1 x OCZ Special OPS 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C8 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit (OCZ3SOE1600LV4GK) £37.99
Total : £297.96 (includes shipping : FREE).

HD5850 vs GTX560Ti

The difference in gaming ability is probably more to do with the speed of the processor and the fact 6 cores are hardly ever used in modern games.

But I agree the 955 is a much better choice to save money while performing very well for a cheap gaming rig.

Yea lookin at that link above, id say that the x4 probably is better value for money :D 1055t is a great chip mind!

haha i have answered this to loads of people, i reckon its a golden chip, but its not very stable at 4.5 and it gets a little warm to say the least :P gotta wait till im on water and i have the time to stabilize it :o so i dropped it down to a stable 4.2 atm
