I want to be able to run Star Wars: The OlD republic when it comes out (am in Beta this weekend)

Currently running a very lowly 3450 256MB which I bought from overclockers new for about £27 as my damn 4890's kept corrupting on me.

Current system is:

Intel E8400 @ Stock 3GHZ on Asus P5N-E SLI
4GB PC6400
Corsair 650W PSU
60GB SSD w/ 2 x 750GB Samsung F1's.
Creative X-FI Music

I really don't want to go too far over £100 with a new card, I would like to be able to ideally run some games on this setup for now, although I appreciate the cpu will probably be amajor bottleneck, would be looking at an i5 w/ 8GB RAM or at least an extra 4GB on my current setup in the new year.

Any advice on what I could do please?

Thanks

WHAM THE 4890 in the oven
or just use a heatgun
but use solder liquid flux
should be fine for a while as long as you have good airflow

Thanks for the opinions, looking to play at 1080x1920.

In honesty, it'll probably only be for this game, all my other games I'm happier on the xbox, but in this instance, I have no choice!

Would be happy with 2nd hand gear that has been looked after, yeah :)

I'm using a GTX460 and it is performing very well to say how cheap they can be picked up for. BF3 and Skyrim are returning very decent framerates with mid range detail settings.

So GTX 460 or 6850\5870?

Assuming all 3 are single core GFX cards, and should be able to handle things nicely?

Is 1GB on a GFX card still enough? Sorry for the vagueness, I last bought the 4890 in 2009 and have paid literally no attention at all to graphics upgrades!
