Hi. I have another thread going at the moment which bemoans the lack of a VGA port on my Gigabyte z68AP-D3.
The cheapest workaround seems to be the purchase of a separate graphics card. However, the i5 2500k's onboard graphics are apparently not too shabby and I don't want to be paying money to downgrade to weaker graphics.
Also, if I have to get a graphics card, I'd like something that I can benefit from in HD video work or rendering. I've heard that today you can use the GPU to assist with rendering somehow.
Also, I just have an unbranded/generic PSU rated to "500W". The only other devices involved are one HDD, one optical drive, and there'll be some USB devices such as cameras plugged in when needed.
Anything much beyond the £40 mark starts making less sense because I could just try to sell my new monitor and get a HDMI one.
Thanks for any advice.
