Hello overclockers I need to pick your brains for a minute please.
Looking to upgrade my vega 56 card which has been perfect.. but it is time to think about an upgrade.
If I remember correctly got the vega 56 pulse for roughly £250. So I have got my money worth.
I'm hoping the next gpu will last as long.
I have a 1080p 144mhz monitor which I plan to keep a while longer.
I have a 5600x cpu and a evga 750w gold modular psu which again is getting on a bit but works perfectly fine.
I may got to 1440p in a couple of years but then again I may not.
My budget is £250. I have seen various rx 6650 xt and rx 7600 for less than 250..
A couple of 6700xt second hand for £270 with 2 years warranty.
But then I saw a rx 6750xt brand new for £299.
My question really is should I stretch to £299 for the 6750xt or save around £70 for a 6650xt.. ? I want to kept this card for years basically. I know nothing about nvidia cards at this prices.
I kind of know the answer but need other opinions

Thanks

I'd advise paying the extra for the 6750 of you can.

The 7600 is ok, better than the 6600, but it can't beat the 6700.

I wouldn't buy one of those from a Vega 56, especially if you want this to last long-term.

Definitely worth it. The 6750 is significantly stronger and the 12GB of VRAM is not a lot anymore, even at 1080p.

My honest opinion is none of these cards are what you should be looking at, since £500 (7800 XT or 7900 GRE) has become the new £300.

A £250-£300 budget is unfortunately bottom of the barrel nowadays.

Yes I was afraid of that. Can't go that high unfortunately!

You may want to look at the 7600 XT, it is slower than the 6700 XT & 6750 XT, but more widely available brand new.

I have also seen second hand 3060ti for around 260/270 with 2 years warranty..
3060 Ti is roughly equivalent to the 6700 XT, apart from having less VRAM.

4060 Ti is barely any faster, but like the 4060, power consumption & efficiency are nicely improved from the previous gen.
