Hey Guys,

I had been been thinking about buying a new laptop to do some gaming on but then I saw Nvidia's latest 3D shutter glasses and I can't help my self I know it might be gimicky but even if it is fun for a bit it'll still be cheaper than a laptop to play games on ;-)

So buying a 22" 120hz Samsung and the Glasses (when they come to UK) and need to work out what PC to put together! I have an old ATX tower with a DVD burner the power supply is only 400w so need just about everything!

I'd like to keep the tower under a grand. Was thinking getting one 260gtx and then in 6 months time put another one in if I need more power and/or over clock the chip a little bit.

Any thoughts on the below for a 3D gaming rig? Will be playing a little bit of everything mmorpg's, FPS, strategy. Don't need it to max out everything but would like a smooth ride.

Intel Core i7 920 2.66Ghz (Nehalem) (Socket LGA1366) - OEM £229.99
Asus P6T Intel X58 (Socket 1366) PCI-Express DDR3 Motherboard £204.69
Zotac GeForce GTX 260 "55nm Maxcore" 896MB GDDR3 TV-Out/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (ZT-X26E3KA-FSP) £192.04
OCZ StealthXStream 700w Silent SLI Ready ATX2 Power Supply £71.29
OCZ 6GB DDR3 PC3-10666C9 Gold Low-Voltage Triple Channel Kit (3 X 2GB) (OCZ3G1333LV6GK) £69.99
Samsung SpinPoint F1 750GB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM (HD753LJ) £68.99
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro CPU Cooler (Socket LGA775) £20.69

Sub Total : £745.80
Total : £868.01

Thanks!
Mik

Currently running that exact RAM, CPU and motherboard combo and all is well here :)

mate, hows the ram? havent been hearing good things about OCZ lately, but that ram would help with my budget.

and, you need a 1366 socket cooler, you've chosen a 775 socket

why not get the zalamn 3d monitor instead if you want 3d. haven't seen one in flesh but the reviews are mainly positive. Although some games don't work properly in 3d.
ZM-M220W Trimon monitor there about 400, still use glasses though.
