Hi Guys.

I'm looking to build a system that I can fit on my TV stand in my sitting room. Trying to reduce the need for a desk/chair etc. in the house. I currently own a EXPEDIT (Or Kallax as it's now called) TV stand from Ikea. The compartment I want to fit the PC into is 320mm (W) x 320mm (H) x 380mm (D). Now the only case I can find that isn't to expensive and can fit "normal" parts into is the Cosair 250D. So I've specc'd my system around that.

Not only that I'm on a tight budget, roughly £700-£800. May be able to stretch it a little, but not sure on that at the minute. Obviously the cheaper the better, but I want to get the best bang for my buck so to speak.

I currently play games like world of warcraft, dota 2, guild wars 2 but i'm looking to try out Destiny when it's released and I also like the look of Titanfall. So having good gfx etc is essential. I also want to connect it to my Samsung 37" LED Smart TV so I can run at a decent display level with a crisp picture.

Few things I need:
* New OS as I currently run Vista
* SSD as windows is currently on my HDD
* Case must fit into the measurements listed above.
* To be as cheap, but as good as possible. Looking to order around the start of August.

Obviously if there's part that are better/cheaper please point them out. I've gone with the H100i watercooler as I know it definately fits and also the 280. Will be a slight squeeze as it's a 295mm card and I think its 300mm clearance inside the case. You guys might know better if it will fit or not, or if there's a better card.

Here's what I come up with:

YOUR BASKET
1 x Gigabyte Radeon R9 280 WindForce 3X OC 3072MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card £173.99
1 x AMD A10-6800K Black Edition 4.10GHz (Socket FM2) APU Richland Quad Core Processor (AD680KWOHLBOX) £103.99
1 x Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW) £88.00

- I've gone for a non-K version i5 so no overclocking.
- Last time I checked OcUK were £40 more expensive for the Hadron than other sites, though I guess I probably shouldn't say that here :)
- Use the saved money to get a 256Gb MX100. OcUK don't seem to stock these for some reason but they're about £80.
- A blower cooler would be better for the GPU given the small dimensions but there aren't any for 280s ASFAIK. A possible alternative would be this, though it wouldn't be quite as fast: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-228-EA&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1830 (or there is a non-SC KFA version for £25 less)

Consider the Shuttle XPC series of systems. You get the case, motherboard, and CPU cooler all together. Just add CPU (and I concur with the i5 recommendation), RAM, and GPU.

not overally fussed on overclocking so that would be fine going none K version. I went down the AMD route as i was told its normally cheaper.

Is the hadron similar size? At work so its hard to check lol

The Hadron is smaller than the 250D:
Hadron: 169 x 305 x 308 mm (W x H x D)
250D: 277mm x 290mm x 351mm (W x H x D)
I've realised that the mobo I suggested doesn't have the best layout for the Hadron. Ideally you want the 12-pin socket on the right of the board. This would be a suitable replacement: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-505-GI&groupid=701&catid=5&subcat=2813

There is no reason why you couldn't do the same spec in a 250D though if that's what you want, just add a suitable PSU.
