Hello,

I am investigating potential replacements for my broken Dell Inspiron 14z (as per another thread). Does anybody have any recommendations?

The laptop only sees light/basic use - Web browsing, email, word processing, etc. No games.

It would be great if the replacement were (no particular order)...

1) As cheap as possible, hoping to spend less than £500
2) Reasonably small - Ideally 14" display
3) Windows OS, ideally quite a vanilla installation without much bloat
4) 250GB HDD or greater
5) Intel i series processor
6) 4GB+ RAM

I've mainly stuck with Dell in the past, with both good and bad experience. I have tried Lenovo Ideapads through work which appear to be awful quality. Otherwise, I have no other experience at the budget price range.

Any particular models that you would recommend? Any particular offers available at the moment? Thank you.

I got the Doris a ASUS Transformer Book Flip TP300LA 13.3" Touchscreen Laptop Core i5, 6GB, 500GB for £349 14 months ago and got a 250GGB SSD for £42 in lightning sale so all in for under £400.

Worth seeing if you can find similar.
