Budget laptop suggestions pls

My better half needs a budget laptop that will not be used for any gaming, but instead it will
be for browsing, watching Netflix and other such important things . i'm interested in a solid build,
good battery time, screen near 15 inch and a good quality screen (she'll be using headphones, though fair speakers
is a plus). Price to not be over £500.

Any suggestions pls; I have been looking around, but so far no joy.

You can even find some new ones in your price range

Ex corporate Elitebook 840. Build quality that'll last a decade, good IPS screens and battery life, surprisingly good speakers when they were top mounted.

Don't bother with a new consumer laptop, they're mostly terrible until you spend over a grand.

The rainforest has some fairly decent but cheap ASUS as part of it's limited promotion.

This is what I was going to suggest also. Dell outlet is definitely worth a look.

Bit torn between the Dell Inspiron 15, i5 and HP Laptop 15, Ryzen 5.
Both with 512gb ssd and 16gb ram.

So a last question then is if it's just whichever I'm feeling for or is there a reason
to choose one over the other?

HP laptop is £40 more in price than the Dell.

Dell does have a backlit keyboard.
