Hi All,
I haven't been into the whole PC market for a long time and I have been plodding along for the last 3 years with a very basic laptop that will just about run basic PC games on the TV at 720p on low-med setting on a I3 processor the built in Intel HD3000
.
I've only just recently connected it to the TV and now I am looking for a bit more power as low-mid setting look adequate on the 13" screen but on a 55" TV not so much.
I am not after running the new flagship games on high res as I have a PS4 for most recent games but would like enough to let me play any game.
I am unsure between getting a small console like PC that will sit near the TV and run solely off the PC or a higher spec laptop that we can still use as a laptop as having kids and a wife means I don't always have easy access to the TV... I am about 70:30 towards the laptop as it offers more options and we don't have the room for a monitor.
budget wise is the issue really, id like to keep it around £400 but I get the feeling that wont get me much these days, if its any more I think I would prefer just to get an Xbox one and stream it to the laptop.
so would a budget 'gaming' laptop be possible for £400 or would I be looking at a lot more?
sorry for the useless thread I haven't been around PC hardware for a good few years
