Hi,

I'm a mac user and I have a lovely 27" Cinema Display connected to my Macbook. However said macbook is rubbish when it comes to playing Overwatch.

I'm wanting a PC and 24", 120hz (or higher) monitor to play overwatch. 1080p is fine, but ideally 1440p.

The clincher is, it needs to look nice. Minimalist, no flashing blue LED's or smoke machines. Does anyone know of any cases or monitors that won't break the bank?

Define affordable?

The dell SD2416 might be for you. It's minimalist and quite beautiful and is 144Hz Gsync. Case wise, the Corsair 200R is quite minimalist, as is the Antec "P" series.

What kind of display connector does your current monitor use? What is the resolution? If the response time and input lag aren't total crap you might be able to re-purpose it.

Hi,

Thanks for the recommendations. I can't seem to find the Corsair case in the OC configurator (and weirdly it seems to say "NO NEED" in the graphics card selection on all configurator options I checked).

I did some research and apparently the input lag isn't too bad on my Cinema display. It's only 60Hz but I suppose I can live with that for now as it's 12ms input lag. Thanks for the help!

My fav looking case is the Antec P100 that I have. It looks very professional and matches my monitor perfectly. It's an older case though and these days you'd have to buy a P280 or P380 as those are the current cases in the line and have bit more of extreme styling.

Most of the silent cases out there would fit the bill for minimalist looking cases.

The fact that your monitor is 60Hz is a bit sad, as gaming at higher refreshes is nice, however if its only 1080P you wont need to spend much on a GPU to run it.
