I'm looking to get a cheap monitor and spend as little as possible so this wont be the usual bang for buck question in that respect, its more a "what's the least I can get away with?" question!

I am a hybrid worker and am Office based most of the time but I do work from home sometimes. I have a 2 monitor set up at home that are just my two old work monitors as I was given new ones for the office, everything plugs into a docking station. To cut a long story short I'm looking to replace one of the old monitors with a new one, ideally 27inch. Most of the time this will just be used for Office type tasks - Word, Excel, internet browsing etc. However I'm thinking on the weekend I may pull the work laptop out of the dock and plug in my own personal laptop - this is just used for watching Youtube and the like, general web-browsing and that sort of thing. No gaming or watching 4k videos or anything like that.

Can anyone recommend a suitable 27inch screen that wouldnt be overkill for my limited use, what sort of money could I get away with spending and lastly does any use a curved screen for office type tasks and is it better or worse than flat?

Thanks for any advice/opinions

Dell S2721NX 27 Inch Full HD (1920x1080) Monitor, 75Hz, IPS, 4ms, AMD FreeSync, Ultrathin Bezel, 2x HDMI, 3 Year Warranty, Black £139.99

LG Electronics Monitor 27MR400-B, 27 Inch, Full HD 1080p, 100Hz, 5ms GtG, IPS Panel, AMD FreeSync, Smart Energy Saving, Anti-Glare, HDMI, Matte Black £109.99

ASUS VA27DQ Eye Care Monitor 27 inch, FHD (Full HD 1920 x 1080), IPS, Frameless, 75Hz, Adaptive-Sync/FreeSync, DisplayPort, HDMI, Eye Care, Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, Wall Mountable, black £124.99

ASUS VA27EHE 27'' Monitor, FHD (1920x1080), IPS, 75Hz, Frameless, Flicker free, Low Blue Light, TUV certified, Black £143.49

Brands I would go for: Dell, LG, Asus

Screen type: Preference for IPS as gives better picture quality. If you go for a VA, you could find even cheaper monitors I think.

Personally I would go for a flat screen for office work, you don't want bendy spreadsheet lines - that said, I've never tried a curved monitor.

Make sure the monitor has the connectivity you need, HDMI or DisplayPort are popular now.

if your happy with 1440p 27" you can get the aoc q27v4ea for around £160-£170. i use the 24" version which is around £130-£140 and it's a great monitor for the price. i have purchased more expensive 1440p 75hz monitors that have performed worse than this ;)
