Hello.

I am currently planning a new build PC and have decided to sacrifice a top spec motherboard and possibly processor to get my build within budget.

Could some kind sould please confirm the following?

Which is the cheapest Z77 motherboard that will run a GTX690 satisfactorily? I have been looking at these:

ASRock Z77 Pro4-M Intel Z77
Gigabyte Z77-D3H Intel Z77
Asus P8Z77-V LX Intel Z77

What is the cheapest processor that will not bottleneck a GTX690?

Thanks in advance for any replies

I5 3570K and the D3H

Thanks.

The board specs say it does not support SLI. Does that matter for the GTX690, seeing as it is a dual card?

Also how will the performance be affected by the PCIE setup on this board? The info below is from the Gigabyte site.

Expansion Slots
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x16 (PCIEX16)
(The PCIEX16 slot conforms to PCI Express 3.0 standard.)
* For optimum performance, if only one PCI Express graphics card is to be installed, be sure to install it in the PCIEX16 slot.
* The PCI Express x16 slot supports up to PCI Express 2.0 standard when an Intel 32nm (Sandy Bridge) CPU is installed.
1 x PCI Express x16 slot, running at x4 (PCIEX4)
2 x PCI Express x1 slots
(The PCIEX4 and PCI Express x1 slots conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)
2 x PCI slots

Thanks.
