I'm looking for a cheap netbook for my mate.

He just wants it for basic browsing, listening to music and that's about it. His budget is 200 quid.... I know I know I've been trying to convince him to spend a little more and get something half decent but he won't have it. Any ideas?

Has he considered a tablet? Usually pack a longer batter life in a smaller form factor, ideal if he won't be doing much typing.

If not I'd look at Samsung and Asus models, most notably the EeePC 1000PXD and the N145 at sub £200.

Thanks guys!
I've no experience of upgrading netbooks/laptops is it possible to whack I'n an extra gig of ram into these?
Also I've been talking to him more and he was only saying netbook because he thought they'd be cheaper. So I've been looking at some 13" models

Sorry to post reply without doing my research I can see that they are indeed upgradeble. However I'm struggling to find the Acer to buy, or even a price.
