Hi there, was looking to put together a budget PC for my parents/sister.
Already Have an Nvidia 9800GT spare, a screen and a decent 500W power supply (forget the make, but it's good quality.) As well as a printer, and speakers etc.
My dad doesn't want to spend more than 300 pounds, my sister wants to be able to play Games such as League of Legends and Minecraft (not especially demanding) I'd need a new copy of windows too for it, included within that 300 pound budget. Was just wondering what you'd recommend.
List:
Motherboard
CPU
Writable DVD and CD drive (combo or separate)
Hard drive (500gb or more would be nice, but anything over 300 is OK)
RAM
Network Card/wireless adaptor
Windows (preferably 7)
A built in card reader might also be useful.

Let me know what you think. Thanks,
Tommy.

£10 over budget. but you could always drop the CPU down to a Tri core and it wouldn't suffer to badly under those demanding (;)) games!

That's great thanks, Although on the second one the price for windows doesn't match up when you follow the link.
Just wondering, what sort of guarantee/warranty do you get on the parts when you build your own PC?

Thats because it's the Windows 7 bundle so your getting a 500GB SATA III HDD and Windows 7 for £98.39 rather than paying for them seperately at £110

You can get your memory card reader and wifi card for around 15 quid.

I'm going to be lazy and not link you too them, however the wifi card is a TP link and the memory card reader is made by Akasa. Have a look if you like. Both perfect for what you need it for.
