After a budget phone for my mum, so far the Black view A60 for £60 seems the best i can find all round. Anything else available on Amazon worth considering for £60 or less.

I wouldn't bother with phones at that price point.

It's worth paying around £100 it will be a much better experience and should last longer.

Is that £60 a month as where are you seeing an A60 for £60?

I'd look at a redmi note 7 or 8.
What are you smoking if you think £60 a month would be a budget phone. Lol
£60 upfront, I thought that incredibly obvious.

Again I ask about phones worth a £60 budget and the answer is spend almost double.

Think I'll go with the BV A60 then with no other ideas.

60 a month ha ha

at 60 quid id buy a second hand phone you'll get something easily twice as good as a new phone for that price.

specs for the a60 look pretty poor, not sure I would want a phone with 1gb of ram even for the basic stuff your mum is doing to be honest.

especially since if she isn't tech savvy she wont bother with app management, everything will be open at once and it will grind to a halt.

From my understanding is not as simple as that you can't compare it to something costing much more when you take into account Android Go.

Seriously save up another £40 even if it takes you a few weeks and get the redmi note 7. Your mum will be wanting something nicer.

Lol you really don't understand the word budget do you. Thanks anyway.

A £60 phone isn't budget, it's a piece of trash.
My wife is 61 and realised her 'budget' phone just wasn't good enough after a year of getting angry so I bought her the Moto G8 Power and she's very happy now.
Yes I realise that is way out of your budget but you should be looking £100 minimum for that extra spec or go second hand.

I don't know why I bother. I'm not asking what the best £100+ phone is.
A £60 smart phone is going to be a huge step up.

Some of you are just picking numbers out of thin air for some reason. I get that you wouldn't want a £60 phone but are you really telling me the A60 won't run Facebook Lite, WhatsApp and the text and phone app.
She basically wants it to be able to use WhatsApp, currently uses her old phone as a phone and an old Amazon tablet for Facebook. She wants a cheap phone that combines the two.

Not picking numbers. That phone I showed you has over 3 times the specs. You'll get the latest version of Android, apps are constantly requiring higher versions of Android to be able to use them, WhatsApp etc.

You'll get faster boot times, no screen lag, bigger and better screen quality, you'll have no browser or app lag. And maybe you want to take a picture or two it's got a very nice camera for the price.

Now a phone is something people use everyday nowadays, like a bed, she could have it for years. So taking these things into account, that's why we say find another £40 if you have to beg, borrow or steal as it will be well worth it.

There's a used A60 Pro (Android 9 with 3GB Ram) on the rainforest going for £63.35, it's a warehouse option so slight imperfections etc. Sorry it's not £60 or less but super close...
