I'm looking for a budget (safe / reliable / energy saving) power supply unit for a 'new' old build and looking for suggestions please?

The motherboard is my Asus Maximus VI Hero which has 8-pin EATX 12v power and 24-pin EATX power connectors. I believe my old power supply will not fit it sadly.

What is your old psu, the Corsair in your siggy? If it is it's fine and has all the required connections.

There is a shortage of psu's just about everywhere at the moment and on here all of the cheaper decent psu's are out of stock so the only in stock cheapest psu's that I would trust are these:-

My basket at Overclockers UK:

They are all quality units so take your pick if you need one. A 550w psu gives you plenty of spare headroom and means that you can upgrade in future without needing a new psu.

Thank you! The PSU in my signature will be powering my new mobo setup, sadly my spare old psu won't power these new boards, so I can only get one of them up and running, I guess the old (current) build will have to be put on hold until I can save up.
