Hi guys,

I understand that "budget" and "PSU" aren't particularly synonymous, however I'm looking for a quality built PSU for a comparatively meagre price.

I have a budget gaming rig (which I'm very pleased with) and am looking to upgrade the PSU, not from a need of necessity as yet, but more of wanting to protect my investments. I've recently invested in a GTX 970 and I'm conscious of the fact that the Powercool PSU is not of reputable quality. Although I've never had a problem with it and it currently runs perfectly without coil whine, very stable under load etc.

Current build:
Asus P8H61-MX-USB3 mobo
Intel Xeon E3-1230-V2
8Gb 1333Mhz RAM
Zotac GTX 970
Powercool PC-750AUBA-M 80+ 750W PSU
CIT Vantage case (3 x 120mm fans)

I don't really want to stretch my budget above £60, I've been looking at a few such as these:

Antec 520W Bronze

Antec 550W Gold Truepower

EVGA 600B 600W

Are any of those suitable for my build? Any other recommendations?

As a footnote, I'm not concerned with overclocking hence the P8 H61 mobo + Xeon.

Thanks.

The 550W TruePower is an excellent choice, certainly worth the £1 over the 520W as it has two more years warranty and also an 80+ Gold certification

Don't see you going wrong with any of them but Seasonic has had such a good reputation for so long now I can not see you going wrong with one of their units
