Budget rig PSU

Hey,

I've just ordered a few components for a budget rig and I'm starting to think I might not have a PSU that can handle the overclocking i intend to do. I'm hopeful that the motherboard with the latest bios can use the ram at full speed @3200, so I don't intend on overclocking the ram, but I wanted to give a slight overclock to the GPU and a modest overclock for the CPU @ 3.8 - 3.9. the rated power usage is around 277 Watts at full load. Do you think I have enough headroom for the overclocking?

400W should be enough, but for the same price (or less) you could pick up a 450W Gold rated unit from either Bitfenix or Superflower:

i had a golden green HX450 and it was fawles for about 4 years until i sold it.

it would get my vote any day

if you already have that superflower listed in your original post, then stick with it. good enough.
if not, then i would just go with this. el-cheapo superflower rebranded unit
