Budget second hand all rounder?

Hey folks,

Just wanting some quick advice on a good all-rounder laptop on a second hand budget of around £300?
Initially ive been looking at a good old T480, however wondering if there's anything else anyone would recommend, especially as I wouldn't mind doing some low end gaming? Otherwise just office use.

Depends on what you mean by low end gaming. The integrated graphics are probably only gonna run 2D games and 3D stuff from the PS2 era.

For more demanding gaming, you're gonna need something with a dedicated GPU - I think the thinkpad P-series can have those but they are significantly bulkier.

Alternatives would be HP elitebooks, the 840 g6 is the equivalent to the T480. Zbooks are their range with graphics cards.

I managed to get my Dad an 840 G8 for £200 as a replacement for a thinkpad x220 and he is very happy with it.
