Budget second hand laptop recommendations (£200)

On a tight budget for a laptop and I’m not to clued up on laptops anyone got any recommendations?

Main uses will be general web browsing, watching media (while the missus hogs the TV while in bed) so would ideally like a 2in1 so I can flip it into a tablet. Also would like to do abit of CAD work on it if possible mainly onshape but I am looking at trying shapr3d out.

I’ve had a look at these but not sure if they will be any good for my use case so any opinion/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I managed to pick up refurbed (in excellent as new condition)

Dell Latitude - 5530 - i5 12th Gen - 16gig of ram (upgradable to 64gig - SODIMM modules) - 256gb SSD -


i purchased it Oct last year and it had 1 years dell warrenty on it


Not a single mark on the laptop, in excellent as new condition

you have to look closely though, ask for info and some close up pics to make your own judgement

A specific suggestion is difficult when buying in the £200-300 range.

Buying used means searching on eBay first to find laptops within your price range, filtering down the results to find the best configuration, and then choosing the one in the best condition. This way, you find the best available laptop at the time you're looking. However, your search results will change in line with what sells and gets listed, meaning at some point you have to make a decision and pull the trigger. This way, you can end up with a better-spec'd laptop, but there is a risk that it has been used more than it was described.

Your other option is to do what @DJMK4 suggests, look for a refurbished one in as-new condition. The beauty of this is that they often come with a warranty.

The laptops you've listed are fine for your price point. A lot of legwork searching eBay, in probably the short answer
