I need to build a Shuttle based on AM2 chip for as little money as possible. It will be using on board graphics so all that is required is Sata drive, memory, CPU and DVD Rom.
It will be used for web browsing/music ect.
I'm just a little confused as to which memory to get and i am thinking of basing it around Athlon 64 3200.
Any suggestions welcome.
Cheers

I have built 3 Shuttles, two of which had SATA drivers on a floppy disc. I didn't find it a problem to install, you just need to specify during XP install that you have 3rd party drivers by pressing F6. (its quite early on if i remember). Having said that, later releases of XP seem to detect the SATA drives without the need for extra drivers.

I've noticed that too, Windows detected the SATA drive without having a floppy drive in the machine to install drivers from. Unfortunately it's having memory trouble so I can't install.
