Hi,

I was wondering if I could get any help and support in which Graphics card/Cards to get.

This is my current set up,

AMD Phenom Octacore 4.00ghz
16gb DDR Ram.
Windows 7 64
But I have a 550TI G/card which just isn't performing at all.
I have a Modular be Quiet 750w modular PSU.

I don't really have a set budget e.g £50, just looking for Value for money, So maybe a good G/card I could save for say £150, or maybe a cheaper one but something I could SLI at a later date.

Cheers

It would be useful to know what sort of games you play, in what resolutions etc...
The 500 series cards are starting to wane a bit, and I'd try to invest in 600/700. The 700's when new were a lot cheaper compared to the 600 series when new so you might actually be able to skip the 600's altogether. I'd personally save £150 for a 2nd hand 770/770OC which you could easily SLI at a later date.

Did they make an eight core Phenom?
He's probably got a quad core with 8 threads. A lot of people make that mistake... but you can read past it.

Hi,

Yeah it's my mistake I had a Phenom Quad, it's a Bulldozer 8 Core.
Well I played the Evolve Alpha, and just generally newer games have started to drag for me, looked at the specs for the Division, and currently playing COD and just runs terrible :/

I only have a 22" monitor but set it to 1680 x 1024 roughly, but do try others 800x600 etc to try but little difference.

For a lower budget I'd look at the second hand market definitely. You have a pick of fairly strong cards around the £100-£150 range, like a 670, 760 or 280X.

Ended up putting it on my Credit Card ! :/
