Hi everyone,

We're re-vamping our kitchen and I've managed to wire in some speaker cable to add to our home audio set up (Some Chromecast audios/G-Homes). We have a Hi-Fi (Technics HD301) which will be powering the speakers but other than that I have no idea what would be best :D

Does anyone have any recommendations for what would be best or where I would be best looking? :)

Smaller I would imagine will be preferable in a kitchen, so Wharfedale 9.0 from Richer Sounds for £40 can't be beaten. In store only, so you'll need a store in your area.

If you have no local Richer Sounds store, then Mordaunt Short M10 are also good value for £60, but are available on RS' site.

You probably want to go for "outdoor" speakers, which are waterproof since you'll get moisture inside the kitchen

I think the OP's kitchen would have to be a sauna to worry about moisture affecting any speakers.

The speakers are being placed on the opposite side of the kitchen away from the extractor and sink area so they shouldn't be on the receiving end of any steam/fluids that might be near (Hopefully anyway) :)

Luckily there is a Richer Sounds close to us (Only a train ride away) so I might have a look into that one. Also thankfully we don't have that much moisture in the kitchen (Now that the plaster has dried anyway) :D
