Do i need to up my budget ?
Might get better response for tablets in the mobiles and tablets section :S people don't really seem to use this section for tablets.
You may also find a thread in that section that already covers what you want as stuff like that is debated a lot.

Possibly a Memo pad which is essentially an unbranded nexus 2012. They ususally come in about £80 on HDUK. You might get a nook hd+ 9inch second hand for 60+ ish
