Budget TV's

Hi.

I'm looking for a new TV for me front room. I don't watch that much TV, mainly it's just the wife watching soaps and we watch the odd film. So I don't really need anything fancy.

I've found a few cheap 50" TV's which one is the best?

Or is there something else for around the same price?

Nearly everything you'll find in 50" at the sub £300 end of the market is going to come out of one of two or three factories in Turkey or China that specialise in making cheap tellies for others to stick their badge on. Under the skin it's all very similar.

get the cheapest one with the longest warranty from a decent retailer.

Look at RicherSounds or JohnLewis. Both have 5 year warranty (I think), and neither of them sell junk products.

It's worth that extra stretch.
