Friend has an ancient PC that has failed and now needs an upgrade to play WOW. Needs a Motherboard, CPU and RAM for ~£120. Is that viable, if so, what should he be looking for component wise? I know this will be a false economy but £120 is his absolute limit and he is looking to order tomorrow (Monday 29th)

How ancient?
Can you post his full spec, including make and model of Psu. Also what case he has.

Does OCUK have the G2020? I can't see it. That, with a super cheap board would probably suit WoW better, assuming there's a working graphics card.

Thx for all the advice, in the end we went for the MSI A55M-E33, 4GB of TeamGroup RAM and upgraded to the AMD A8-5600K, which put us at £135 which was £15 over the strict budget. BUT, the A8 comes with a free copy of Sim City which another friend is happy to take off his hands for £15, getting us back within the spending limit with a nice quad core CPU! :D
