I have a single HD4890 1GB.

To be honest it handles everything I throw at it but I'm aware that it is quite old tech and doesn't handle Direct X 11.

I never buy latest tech as I usually budget around £125 for a graphics card.

Lost track of graphics technology but I'm aware that the 4890 is quite a fast card.

Is there something for £125 or less that would be a significant improvement.

Cheers,

Nigel

A 7850 if you can get one inside budget will be a very decent jump, go for 2GB where possible.
My 6870 was substantially faster than my 4870 (~70% faster) and these are faster again, so you should be looking at a good 50% or more gains, newer tech, lower heat and power consumption.

Out the box. They overclock like demons in many cases too :)

One thing I would say is be aware if your CPU is similarly aged to your GPU, this will hold you back from getting max performance out of the new card.
