Budgets and Decisions on P5K

Hi,

It is like this,All help gratefully recieved.

Do i upgrade from a P5K to a P5K premium to run a q6600 @3.3 and a 8800gts 512 or do I send the money on a sound card .I cant do both.What would be best option for a better system.I dont intend to play movies or use it for high quality sound but do want good game sound.



Also do I need a 620 watt Corsair or can I get by with an Enermax Liberty 500watt. I will only run 1 nvidia card as its crossfire anyway.

Finally if anyone can suggest a good 22" monitor for £150-£160 I would like ideas

No point going from a p5k vanilla to premium.
If you want a more gaming based motherboard an x38 would be much better (with PCI 2.0 support and two x16 lains)
But the p5k will easly handle a 3.3 q6600 and gts so spend the money on a sound card.

Not to sure but your power supply should be alright.

The PSU you have should run 1 8800GTS, if you went for 2 on a SLi MoBo then you may need to up rate the PSU.
I think that VGA card makers hype their figures up on VGA cards to promote how powerful they are !
