Hey guys, I'm an avid FPS gamer and have suffered from some form of desync that I don't have the knowledge/know how to fix. I randomly came across a Youtube video and from there tested my connection on dslreports and I get a rating of "D" Is there an easier way to bring down my levels of bufferbloat (peaks at 600ms and sits around 400ms) without buying a Modem/Router with more "advanced" options?

It's the best one I did and the bufferbloat flickered between C and D rating on multiple tests. I'm thinking of replacing the homehub 5 with something that will allow me to combat the bufferbloat, what to replace it with is another question.

Yeah I'm pretty much clueless when it comes to modems and routers, I've always just used the ISP provided equipment. I know just about enough of the issue and what settings I need to be able to combat this issue, like being able to change AQM algorithms (Codel and fq-Codel and so on) it's just a case to find a modem and router combo or all in one that will allow me to change them.
