Hi yesterday, my friend tried installing XP onto his new Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 (320Gb) HDD
basically after windows had gone through the partition and copying files state, upon restart (before the main installation) an error of
"Error Loading Operating System" would appear
It turned out (even after a BIOS flash) that if the Hard drive access mode in the BIOS was set to Auto it would not work, however changing the mode to Large sorted it, and the drive was fine.
This was on an Asus A8N-E I thought I should post incase anyone else is having the same problems
