Screen turned on and seeing a weird little dote on the screen and it was moving, I used my brash to brush it off and it wouldn't move or go away then seen it's inside the monitor. The it never moved and stuck.

Turns out it's a bug and I can't even know what to do. It's giving me a pain HEADDDDDD. Also it's right in a bad spot. Using Asus PG279QE

Any ideas? and bad news I don't think I can even take the monitor apart as it's in the panel.

It's making me so mad that I feel like smashing this screen and getting another one. Does this cover under warranty for bugs getting stuck. And no idea if it's dead or alive

I would run a vacuum cleaner over the vent in the monitor, hopefully it will pull the sucker to the edge at the very least.
I don't see how that would work if it's inside the panel, well seems to be and it's in the middle of the screen and even on high might not be powerful to suck it up ???

Had it almost three years also, RIP

Turns out there were 4 of those little damn bugs, No idea HOW that got in but they got in. The dead bug got squashed when I was unscrewing it. Well, £600 monitor is now RIP and no longer working :mad:

Donations are welcome :p

would loved to have heard the conversation you could have had with ASUS support
Nope, No need they are slow as flip and I posted instead.

It's a thunderbug. They crawl in through the front bezel and get between the filters. If it does there then the only way to get it out is to take the monitor apart.

Its happened to me a few times. They get in your TV too.
I have a name at long last, thanks. Been googling trying to find out what bugs that they are. throughout the day I find even more of them around the room. Next time not to kill it and damn squished it. Just let it run around being free and maybe help it a little to get near the edge. But in my case, it's RIPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP. Hate bugs right now.

More commonly known as thripps.
I have anti-thripp netting over my windows, for this very reason - We have farmers' fields out the back of our house and I've still got at least 20 of the ***** in my very expensive monitor. The worst is when you're playing something (in my case I was trying out PUBG) and you shoot at 'a figure on the horizon', only to find it's a ******* thripp!!
Yet I do not know how they get to be up in my office! THe bugs loves to be around weeds and plants right? then why they are three-story high in the roof and coming from my window. They just walked from the ground to the top and then into my screen.

Does anyone know what products to kill those damn bugs?
