I used to play Supreme Commander lots, often with 4AI onn the big 80kmsq. maps. However, after this sup com 2 talk got me excited I reinstalled it, but now it freezes every 1-2 minutes for about 2 minutes each time. Happens both on multiplayer and singleplayer skirmish (even on 5kmsq map with graphics at 1600/900 and lowest quality settings. I did recently have one multiplayer game with absolutely NO problems, so the problem seems transient. I have searched around a bit on google, but no-one seems to have any solutions, but I wondered if anyone here has some helpful ideas.

fixed it, was just hard disk being rubbish. (SATA cable to be precise)
