Bugs you have experienced in bf2 1.2

I know there is a big list of supposed bugs doing the rounds but would like some input into bugs that you have personally experienced in 1.2, this is not a rant at 1.2 I personally dont mind the patch too much, but then again im a foot soldier most the time ;) This is just to get a few things straight as to what should and what shouldnt be happening in bf2 1.2,

Ill kick things off with 2 things that have happened to me and I have checked over on EA and they are known issues:

1 if I throw medipacks out to snipers on top of some buildings they actually dissapear and fall through the building??

2 cannot hear gunfire from people shooting at me.

Medic/ammo packs falling through building , although I've had it happen in 1.12.

Vehicles dissapearing in distance when viewed from a tank/apc/AA vehicle. Was meant to be fixed in 1.2

Stupid marker pointing to no where under ground.

Reload animation on sniper rifle not always working.

Red/blue nametag bug , only seen it once but still there.

Wake island not showing on stats.
 
Standing up take way to long imo, e.g lie down then wanting to get up straight away, it doesnt happen.

And sniper rifles never have a reload animation anymore.

And a length e.g 232m on the floor. dont know why its there and what its representing.
 
Just found this list over on ea forums, but dont know if any of these may be made up by people not happy with 1.2, thats why I wanted to know bugs you have actually seen, but check out this the vids are quite amusing especially if it happens only to the enemy,lol :eek: :


New Problems brought about by Patch

1) The Sound Bug:- There are some missing sound files or something along those lines. Occasionally in game you cant hear people shooting at you. This maybe guns firing at you or maybe artillery. But sometimes you just cant hear people shooting you. There is probably just something wrong with a few of the sound files.

2) Medic Packs:- When you are on a roof somewhere, or on a raised bit. eg hotel flag on karkand, when someone throws a medic pack it falls through the floor onto the ground. This was alledgely apparent in the previous versions but by no means as much.

3) Anti Tank Missiles:- Now you are getting anti-tank missiles that are not firing properly. It is like they are firing ghost missiles that just dont do anything. Watch this - http://phatserver.net/temp/BF2_ATmiss.wmv

4) Zatar AA Bug:- Best explained by this clip - http://media.putfile.com/zataraa

5) Flag capture bugs:- Become increasing more common that you cant capture the flag, the flag just doesnt go up or down.

7) Medic shock paddles bug:- Shock paddles reload stupidly quickly now, infact they dont even reload....again watch this http://media.putfile.com/Medic-bug-12

8) Screenshots:- Cant be taken. Enough said

9) ATI Graphics:- Problems with some ATI cards, heard this is getting fiexed though. http://imagecloset.com/8/02320714-untitled.JPG

10) Special Forces Bug- Server crashes:- Humvees with tows on them, i think this has already been heard of and is being dealt with.

11) Server browser:- Meant to be fixed, try searching for a map in the server browser, nothing appears. This needs fixing.

12) Watching demos:- Heard there has been some problems with watching demos, please review this.

13) That red number that appears in the bottom of your screen from time to time.

14) If you jump or prone while reloading/run. It shows that you are reloading but when its done you have to reload again

15) Special Forces shows wrong version number (1.12) and BFHQ of Special Forces doesn't display rank correctly

16) When you fall into water from a height you walk as if your legs are broken. (May be intentional not sure).

17) Gun reload is still buggy (reload animation isn't showing)

18) "sometimes you throw 2 (instead if 1) medkits/ammopacks at once and after a few seconds the second pack disappears" and "Sometimes when I try to throw flashbang or a handgrenade it doesnt throw any, but on the next throw I see TWO flying at once (only visible, not actually two grenades flying and exploding)!"


Bugs that are still present in the game

1) Red/Blue Bug:- Players looking as if they are on the opposite teams.

2) Double reload on M203/GP30.

3) Server browser

I am sure there are more of these bugs around but i can not think of any. If there are then please post them below, or if you dont agree with any of the above, please supply evidence. I will edit this post everytime i see something new, as long as you can proove it.

I hope that someone from EA will take a look at this and give it to DICE to take a look at for the next patch. SOme of these bugs are very serious and so i hope that they will be looked at. Again i ask please do not spam abbusive comments on here about your opinion on the patch, if you dont like something tuff, its the bugs in the game that do need sorting.

There's so many to mention I can't be bothered. I only got the game last week and updated a yesterday. Now the game plays like crap, but the whoreing has been toned down which is good.

Bugs that are still present in the game

I can confirm these bugs. Oh and the medic packs falling through buildings.

#3 bug - Sometimes you would get a AT rocket to pass through the windsheild of a jeep in previous patches (and bf1942 for that matter), but this patch the ammo count does not even decrement. Its like a client side "effect" only, that the server did not recognise.

everything goes invisable apart from the fog in that horrible foggy china map. ( forget *** its called, the hilly, watery, fogy one). have to exit and reload..
 
Getting kills without doing anything. Yesterday I was playing warlord as a sniper and it said

Matthew1985 [BTR-90] Someguy.

As far as I know a sniper rifle or claymore can't kill a tank/APC.

A little while later it also said I got a kill with an AK-101 while I was a sniper.

I didn't just say I had the kills. It added them to my total and gave me points as well.
 
are AA missiles supposed to bounce off 'copters?

was playing Oman yesterday and saw two stingers hit a Cobra, the first of which bounced off the engine cowling straight up into the air - the second hit it and brought it down.

I dont know for sure, but yesterday my assault grenade launcher/noob tube bounced of a vodnic and went into my team mates and exploded to give me 2 TK's, the vodnic was unharmed, is this a new feature or what?

Im also finding a lot of enemy out of range of my sniper gun that werent before, eg wake island I used to snipe at the soldiers on that little spawn island as they went for the boats, now I cant touch em, they also dont show up their red tag name above their heads????

Im finding it hard to tell what should and should not be happening in this new patch, there are so many different things happening :(

yes it's said to prevent noob-tubes as the nade bounces off of objects with-in a set range, however the floor is not quite the same as the other objects, so it seems!

i get this as well i put it down to my mouse button sticking but i guess its a bug.
 
All the bugs as mentioned, and...

Hit indicator not working when you shoot someone mounted at a gun turrent.
The M1 tank still hasn't been fixed, it takes damage driving over a twig
Crashes to desktop, nearly everyone i know has experienced this a few times now, wasn't there before the patch.
