Not sure if this one has been posted on here before. I found a copy of it in one of my archive discs, and went looking on the net for where I got it from. Found a link to the same vid here, but it may be that I saw it here waaaaaay back.

At any rate, that would be Chris Chow's twin turbo Buick GN doing a burnout on the rollers....the thing makes huge power, and sounds just epic....Lord do I love GNs :)

I love that clip.....I remember getting flammed when I last posted it (might have been here or a.n.other) as I thought it was a V8......
They rock when tuned, will give it that :D

V6 in the GN I believe, although to me in that video it doesn't sound like a V6........far more throaty and V8 like, could well of had a conversion done, as I've never heard of a twin turbo GN with a V6, could be wrong though

HOLD ON - NOBODY MOVE, I have a video of it on the strip.

Ah here we go, best bit is the red and white '56 Chev coming past mid-burnout: 15Mb downloady

Edit: My site appears to be down - try later, damn this hosting firm...

Good lord.
My eyebrows did a Penfold when the turbos come on song... Won't somebody please think of the children?!

:D

If it's the vid I'm thinking of he's got the Buick 231CID V-6 with twin turbo's added and he's pushing 1500bhp. That's all they could measure because the rear tyres kept breaking loose at the 1500bhp point and they couldn't tie the back end of the car down anymore to gain more traction.

The final estimate as to what he really had was a little over 1750bhp at the wheels IIRC......

The original vid had it making about 1075 with serious traction loss on the rollers :) Tyre smoke just pouring off....

Wouldn't be at all surprised if it was making that kind of power. Bet they won't find a rolling road that can measure it properly though!
