Build £1100

Hi guys,

Need build for £1100, don't need any peripherals. I mostly game on this PC however I do music and video editing occasionally so I'd like it do be fast at rendering. Would like it to have room for additional graphics card upgrades etc.

What resolution and software/games?

I do pretty similar stuff (photoshop, lightroom, premiere, FSX, Arma 3) and I'm really pleased with mine.

I guess Haswell-E could be for you but with you saying occasionally, it might be a waste of budget.

You could drop another 970 in later.

Ok I'd go 4790k if you want hyperthreading for premiere or 4690k if you can live without it.

Go 970 on an sli capable z97 board with 16gb (prem can use more though) of ram and a psu that will cope with SLI in the future.

Top it off with an mx100 ssd at a size that fits your budget.

I can't spec from my phone I'm afraid but hopefully that's some help.

What sized mx100 ? The lower capacity ones write performance isn't the greatest. The Samsung 850's are getting good reviews though, hell even an 840 evo is a great drive.

Maybe not but surely read speed is more important and I still see an evo as a luxury at this budget as some storage and backup will no doubt be required
