Build a Garden Wall cost

Thinking of having a garden wall built, anyone know a price for work to be done excluding materials.

9" solid 4ft high wall 13m long.

I do not know the answer but have previously worked similar things out.

I searched for websites telling me how many bricks per meter square then found rough estimates of the price per 1000 bricks for local brickies. It added up to a damn sight more than I was expecting.

I might hazard a guess at £300 per 1000

edit: so I'm bored and did the maths that's 1900 bricks in a 4ft by 13m one brick wall. The rest is driven entirely by your bricklayer rate.

ok, well I was quoted £3,978 excluding bricks.

60 bricks a sqm for a half b wall 120 for a 1b garden wall

£80 sqm for labour for a 1b wall

Bricks anything between 39p for an engineering to £1 a brick for a London yellow type.

Add £28 sqm for mortar for a 1b wall

Plus foundation
Plus any clay tile or soldier course
