First off, sorry about the text-paste.

I'm speccing a new system. I'm after something that plays modern shooters, but not necessarily at max settings. I'm not intending to overclock (I know :) ), would like a quiet system (but not obsessively so) and want something that's fairly dust-proof (it's sitting on a carpeted floor).

The spec below is pretty-much at the top of my price bracket, but I'm thinking of changing the GPU to a 768Mb GTX 460. Any suggestions for quieter 5770s or 768Mb 460s would be appreciated - I'd be willing to spend a little more to avoid a Palit 460, for example.

O/C don't seem to do a 955, so I went for the 965. I almost randomly picked the motherboard, which is probably not the best thing to do :). I'm not intending to Cross/SLI later.

Thanks for any help.

The Antec 300 is definitely not worth £70, I'd definitely change it, either to another case that is worth £70 or a Silverstone Precision case, which is cheaper and newer, better designed, higher quality, etc like RJC suggested.

The older OCZ RAM sets have a bit of a bad reputation for not being able to run stably at their specified timings or voltage. Again I can't see anything better on OCUK than what RJC suggested.

Don't see any problems with your chosen motherboard.

If you're only running one card then you don't really need a 700W PSU, even if it only has about 550W on it's 12V rails IIRC. Again RJC's suggestion looks like the best option to me.

Depending on when you're building this you might want to enter a competition for two GTX 460 768MBs at overclock3d.net. Otherwise
