Wondering if there are any recommended improvements to this build or if any of the components need upgrading/downgrading because of restrictions by the other hardware?

New to the forum and relatively new to custom PCs, so any help and guidance would be very much appreciated :)

I wouldn't buy a 4gb 770 as I think its been said on the forums before that its gpu will run out of grunt before using the 4gb of vram have you looked at the 290x or 780ti?

I put in the 1000w watt psu because if you have a good monitor you can take out t he monitor and get another 290 for crossfire, im sure other will eb along to give you some more builds but as mines shows for 1500 you can get a lot :) as for OS you can get the windows 8 eval free for 3 months :)

Cheers for the replies and happy new year!, I was aiming for a PC that will run current games on max settings (mostly skyrim, battlefield etc) and breeze through everyday tasks. Will it be possible to get all of this into a mid sized tower rather than a full one? Would your reccomendations still be viable for a smaller tower?

I've never built a computer and don't really want to mess it up if i try myself

Happy new year to you as well.

How does this look ?

I don't know if you need a blu-ray writer ? If not then you can just change it back to your original choice.

The prices on components change from week to week, so when you are ready to order just make sure that nothing has shot up in price. I don't know how much ocuk charge to build a system, so you might want to get a quote on the above to see how much the overall cost is going to be.
