Hi all
I'm building a media server - my case is a fractal design node 304. I plan on installing -
1/m.2 drive for the OS (bought)
2/my existing 4 spinny hdd's which have my media on.
3/ 2x8gb ram (bought)
4/ Intel Core I3-12100 3.30 Ghz (Alder Lake) Socket LGA 1700

my motherboard is a GIGABYTE B660I AORUS PRO DDR4 LGA 1700 (bought)

would some kind soul recommend for me a psu and cooler for the cpu ? I used a website to calculate the wattage reqs and it came out as 350W so I'm thinking a 550W would be fine ? Fractal design's website says the psu can be atx with max length of 160mm. CPU cooler max height of 165mm. this will be my first SFF build so I just wanted to check.

thank you !

Arctic Freezer i35 ARGB Intel CPU Cooler and

be quiet! SYSTEM POWER 10 550W 80 Plus Gold Power Supply and also

Thermalright LGA1700-BCF black 12/13 generation Intel anti-bending fastener

hope it's all good :)

For the record, it'll be nowhere near 350 :)

M.2 drive: a few watts
Desktop 3.5" HDD: 5 - 15 watts, depends how high-end it is.
Memory: a few watts.
Laptop 2.5" HDD: 2 - 5 watts.
CPU: shouldn't exceed 65 in full multi-threaded load.

Overall: should be around 100 watts full load, but for HTPC use probably around 50-70 (spin up) or 25-40 (spin down).
