Build Advice

It has been many moons since I last even considered upgrading a component, nevermind building a full new system. I have came up with this build and was just looking for some general advice as my knowledge of current components is somewhat lacking. Any help recieved would be much appreciated.

The only thing I can say about that is the choice of HDD,

It's expensive and not very big when a 1tb SamsungF3 or Seagate barracuda is cheaper.

Or buy a Win7 + HDD bundle,

If you're not planning on adding another 6950 at some time in the future get this PSU (while stocks last) and save £45:

Antec High Current Gamer 620W Power Supply £49.99

Get this HDD. It's as fast, larger and £12 cheaper:

Samsung SpinPoint F3 1TB SATA-II 32MB Cache - OEM £43.99

The OEM processor only has a 1 year warranty but at the moment the retail version with a 3 year warranty is £18 more.

Also, if i'm not mistaken its a relatively old drive with three 250GB platters - more modern drives (like the F3 stulid mentions) use 500GB platters and perform a fair bit better.

This 1TB Samsung F3 is £44.

Also, unless you plan to use the features of the Z68 board (ssd caching, intel quick sync, access to the integrated GPU) then you may as well get a much cheaper, but still excellent P67 board like this (when it comes back in stock).

Cheers folks, I'll stick an order in with the Samsung instead.

I'm not too sure if I'll be getting another card so might as well save myself a bit of cash.

I have just checked the case however and noticed that it has went from "Out of Stock" to "No ETA"... Is there any noticeable difference between the Advance and the Lite?

Cheers, so not really much in it.

Ah well, looks like i've got myself a pretty decent setup. Now the fun part when I get it all and have no idea what I'm doing anymore haha.
