Hello all,

I wanted some advise regarding new build, I have around £650-£690 max

I currently have OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w Silent SLI and 2x 500GB SATAII HDD's --- Already, So just need the rest.

Here's the cpu/mobo/ram/cooler bundle i've found but wanted some advise really.
Radon Intel Core i5 760 2.80GHz @ 4.00GHz Overclocked Bundle --- Cooler: Corsair H50-1 Watercooler {£428.23}

I'm not sure if this bundle is any good, Also i'm not sure either to go ATI or Nvidia, Heres the nvidia card i was intrested in.
Gainward GeForce GTX 460 GLH 1024MB GDDR5 {£199.98}

Also here's the case. Not sure if it's any good for decent airflow.
Antec 300 Three Hundred Ultimate Gaming Case {£44.64}

Total inc shipping: £687.54

Some advise would be excellent, If this is the best deal i can get within price range, and if my psu is good enough for this setup(if it's the best deal i can get) as i've not long bought this psu from OCUK. Also not sure ATI or Nvidia.

I thought this cpu bundle would be ideal, As i've never overclocked before so it's better to leave it too the professionals(OCUK ;))

Current System:
CPU: AMD Phenom X4 9750 2.4GHz
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-MA790X-DS4
Ram: 4GB Corsair XMS2 DHX DDR2 4x1gb
GPU: Nvidia Gainward 8800GT 1gb DDR2
PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600w

Thank you.

nowt wrong with that.

but this GTX460 1GB is on special offer, quieter, and you won't really notice a speed difference against the GLH model

Oh i see! Will it run as cool as the gainward as i read somewhere it had special pipe cooling.

Looks good, buy an additional 2 -3 120mm fans in a couple of weeks if you can just to keep your computer a little cooler.

Excellent advise, Do you have any suggestions regarding additional fans. Also becouse im getting an Corsair H50 watercooler, I read it's best to do some-sort of 2x fan on the rad not entirely sure.

If i get that other gpu, I can afford to get the fans too :D

Thanks for the advise/reply guys! really appreciated

The giga card will run cooler then the gainward, from everything iv read on them, its probably the 460 im gonna get, either that or the msi.

Excellent! Thank you very much. I'll defo get that.

If you are planning to get the H50, then instead get the H70, as its a lot better, and ships with 2 fans.

Hmm.. Good idea, But unfortunately it's just a tad bit higher than i have right now :(:(:(

Ah it does add an extra £22 to the bundle cost. In all honesty id personally choose the venom cooler for the bundle, and add a viper fan to the basket, that way you will be able to do push/pull with 2 very good pwm fans, as the venom ships with 1 viper all ready.

Add this aswell to be able to use pwm on both fans via the cpu header

Oh i see... Loving the ideas!:D

Do you think this will be the same/reduce cpu temps compared to the H50. Sounds like a very nice idea as it's the same price as the H50 with just one fan.

If i have this correctly, I get the bundle with Akasa AK-CCX-4002HP Venom, Buy Viper Fan and also buy Splitter and have one fan push air one side, and the second fan pulling air away? Sorry for all these questions.. :(:(

Also as to what w1llyg said, Do you think i should get 3 Xilence XPF120R Red Wing 120mm Quiet Fan which will cost the same amount of ££ that i'm saving on that other GPU.

Thanks again mate!

EDIT
Ahhh yes. Thats a fine idea too

I would stick to the H50 and add an extra fan later to get the push/pull config. With the H50 you have no worry of if the RAM will fit too :D
Use the H50 at the back of the case as an intake fan. As the 300 comes with an exhaust fan at the back, i would remove tht fan and put it at the front as another intake fan.
Then later on get 2 x http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=FG-059-AK&groupid=701&catid=57&subcat=4
Then remove the original fan off the H50 and put those alaska fans on the radiator.
Then use the corsair fan as another intake at the front.
Also if you want to fill the vent at the side of the case you only need a cheap fan as you dont need the high static pressure tht the vipers make

I'm confused which to choose now! :D:D:D Both seem like good plans.

Thanks for all the advise and replys stulid,w1llyg and bifday2k!!!:cool:

I've taken onboard all the advise given and did some research on what everyone said, And gone ahead and ordered --->

Next week i will go ahead and order another Akasa viper , Splitter and one or two cheap extra fans for the extra air-flow.

I plan on setting it up with intake from front, exhaust from back and exhaust from top too, Hope it all works out ok.

Thanks again for the awsome support!
